Job Description

Are you the kind of brand marketer who wants to build brands people actually notice, trust and remember? Not just manage campaigns. Not just move briefs around. But shape brands, launch brands, sharpen existing ones and create real meaning in the minds of consumers? Tsogo Sun Digital is looking for a Brand Manager to help shape, grow and bring our brands to life across a digital-first business with a powerful omnichannel footprint. We are a digital business at our core. That means this role sits in the modern brand world – customer definition, positioning, campaign planning, digital channels, loyalty relevance, CRM alignment, performance collaboration and brand building that supports real commercial growth. At the same time, we operate inside one of South Africas most established casino, hotel and entertainment ecosystems, with properties, rewards assets and customer touchpoints that give us opportunities most digital-only operators simply do not have. This is a rare opportunity for a senior, hands-on brand marketer who wants to make a visible mark. You will join a fast-growing digital business backed by a trusted legacy group, but you will not be inheriting a finished machine. You will help build it. You will help define how the brands are positioned, what customers associate with them, how they show up in market, and how brand activity translates into awareness, trust, consideration and action. You will work across a mix of existing brands that are still early in their growth journey, as well as new launches, propositions and future market opportunities. For the right person, that is a massive opportunity. This is the kind of role where you do not just protect brand equity – you help create it. Day one, this is a broad and meaningful role. You will sit across brand strategy, campaign calendars, trade marketing, venue presence, activations, influencer support, loyalty alignment and broader awareness-building execution. Over time, as the business grows, there is clear scope for the broader brand function to evolve around this role. This is a hands-on role in a growing business where the core work is driven from within. Youll partner closely with internal teams across creative, CRM, acquisition and BI, while using specialist external agencies or suppliers selectively where they add genuine value. Were looking for someone who understands that great brand marketing is not soft. In our world, brand has to earn its keep. It needs to build salience, sharpen positioning, create trust, support acquisition, strengthen retention and make the next campaign smarter than the last one. We want someone who is commercially sharp, growth-minded and obsessed with learning what works. Examples of what youll work on Shaping and evolving brand strategy, positioning and brand expression across the Tsogo Sun Digital portfolio Supporting the launch of new brands, sub-brands, propositions or territories as the business expands Building brands in the minds of consumers by creating stronger meaning, visibility, trust and distinctiveness over time Defining customer segments, audiences and brand priorities to ensure sharper planning and stronger relevance Building and maintaining campaign calendars aligned to sporting moments, seasonal periods, promotional priorities and broader commercial goals Driving trade marketing opportunities across Tsogo properties, with a strong focus on in-casino and in-hotel brand presence Working with internal teams to ensure high-quality brand visibility across venue signage, point of sale, promotional materials, gifting, merchandise and customer-facing collateral Leading or supporting events and activations, especially in the near term, and ensuring they are properly branded, commercially relevant and well executed Working with influencers, partners and where relevant ambassadors to support awareness, credibility and cultural relevance Aligning brand activity with loyalty, CRM and customer marketing opportunities so brand work supports both acquisition and retention Supporting PR and reputation-building activity where relevant to strengthen trust and protect brand equity Preparing budgets, tracking spend, monitoring ROI and using BI data and campaign reporting to guide future activity Working closely with CRM, acquisition, BI and marketing teams to understand which campaigns, channels and brand activities are driving awareness, registrations, deposits, retention, repeat engagement and broader brand lift What were looking for 8 years experience in brand marketing, trade marketing, activations, partnerships or a closely related role Strong understanding of brand strategy, positioning, brand development and brand consistency Strong experience bringing brands to life across customer-facing physical environments such as venues, events, activations, POS or trade environments Strong campaign-planning capability, including building calendars around key moments, audiences and business priorities Good understanding of digital marketing and how brand activity should connect with customer journeys, loyalty, CRM and broader performance activity Strong budget ownership, budget tracking and ROI mindset Confidence using reporting, BI insight and campaign feedback to make better decisions over time Experience working with internal creative teams and using agencies or suppliers selectively where required Strong stakeholder management and comfort working across multiple teams Industry experience in gaming, betting or hospitality is advantageous, but not critical Brand and trade-marketing experience is more important than pure sector pedigree A growth mindset, strong commercial instincts and genuine appetite to test, learn and improve over time Why this role is exciting Youll help shape how Tsogo Sun Digitals brands are built, launched and experienced Youll join a fast-growing digital business with the backing of a trusted, established name Youll work in a rare omnichannel environment where digital brands can be amplified through real venues, real events and real customer experiences Youll get the chance to make visible impact early, not just manage a slice of the machine Youll play a meaningful role in helping shape how the broader brand function evolves over time Youll build a brand discipline that is commercially sharp, data-driven and grounded in learning, iteration and action If youre the kind of brand marketer who wants to build something meaningful, shape what comes next and create brand work that actually drives growth, wed love to hear from you.
