About the Role
We are seeking a Junior QA Engineer to join our team in Cape Town City Centre, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products. As a Junior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and addressing product non-conformances, implementing corrective action plans, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with root cause analysis on product non-conformances and implement corrective action plans
- Perform in-depth technical testing to identify product design and process improvements
- Evaluate product warranty claims and recurring customer issues
- Conduct real-time quality checks throughout manufacturing processes
- Implement sampling plans and inspection protocols
- Participate in supplier audits and internal systems audits
- Maintain product performance databases and quality documentation
- Generate reports and presentations summarising findings and improvement recommendations
- Identify and communicate deviations from quality standards
- Support risk assessments and update mitigation plans
- Assist in developing and monitoring corrective and preventative action plans (CAPA)
- Facilitate communication of product changes and quality feedback to customers
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production
Requirements
- Matric with strong marks in English and Mathematics
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (BEng)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- ISO 9001 knowledge and Quality Management System awareness
- Exposure to internal audits or compliance checks
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to draft professional reports
- Proficient in Afrikaans (English advantageous)
