About the Role
A well-established multidisciplinary consulting engineering company specialising in municipal and private infrastructure projects is seeking to appoint a Draughtsperson / Revit Modeller for their Cape Town office. We are looking for an experienced professional with strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce technical drawings throughout the full project lifecycle, including concept design, detailed design, tender documentation, construction drawings, and as-built records.
- Support civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical engineers with the preparation of layout drawings, sections, elevations, detailing, and reinforcement schedules.
- Create and maintain Revit building models, including structural, architectural, and MEP components.
- Maintain accurate drawing registers, compile drawing issue documentation, and coordinate the distribution of drawings to clients, authorities, and members of the professional project team.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- A minimum of 5 years’ proven draughting experience within the built environment after completing matric
- Relevant qualification such as a Certificate in Autodesk Revit Structures , together with N4/N5 Multi-Disciplinary Drawing Office Practice (MDDOP) National Certificate, or a Certificate of Competency from a SAID member college
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit Structures, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office (essential)
- Exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC Docs, ACC Build, ACC Collaboration Pro) would be advantageous
