About the Role
The East London SHEQ Supervisor role is a critical position that requires an experienced professional to oversee and implement our Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems (SHEQ). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Company Policy, Customer Requirements, and ISO Standards. If you have a strong background in quality management and excellent administrative skills, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure specific activities and duties are performed in accordance with Company Policy, Customer Requirements, and ISO Standards (e.g., ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO18001, Health & Safety, FSC, and FSSC22000)
- Act as document and data controller for ISO9001; ISO22000
- Maintain the SHEQ link in the communication chain to facilitate accurate and efficient information exchange with all relevant stakeholders (in-house and external)
- Prepare for audits and work outside normal working hours when necessary
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience as a SHEQ supervisor (packaging industry advantageous)
- Grade 12
- Degree/Diploma in Quality or Safety Management
- Computer Literacy (MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Attention to detail
- Good administration skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to focus, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Ability to work independently without supervision
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications: Degree/Diploma in Quality or Safety Management (if applicable)
