WatersEdge Solutions is partnering with an innovative engineering and technology business to bring on board a talented Electrical Design Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career who is keen to grow, with the support of experienced mentors and hands-on training.
About the Role
As an Electrical Design Engineer, youll play a key role in supporting the design and development of electrical systems and components using CAD and electrical design software. The company is open to training and developing the right candidate, making this an ideal role
for someone with foundational electrical knowledge who wants to progress their career in electrical engineering design.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and update electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics using CAD software.
- Assist in the design and development of electrical components, PCB layouts, and system integrations.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on electrical projects from concept to completion.
- Maintain design documentation, test specifications, and project records.
- Contribute to troubleshooting, testing, and continuous improvement in the electrical design function.
What Youll Bring
- A National Diploma (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 12 years experience using electrical AutoCAD.
- A strong interest in electrical systems design and willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Nice to Have
- Basic project management skills
- Exposure to sectors like solar energy, data centres, or food and beverage processing
