About the Role
HotelJobs is assisting a dynamic property management group in sourcing a detail-oriented and organised finance professional to support their growing finance function as Junior Financial Assistant. This role requires a structured and analytical individual who can ensure accurate financial processing, reconciliations, and reporting within a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture and process supplier invoices, journals, and owner-related charges accurately and timeously
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation
- Prepare and review owner statements, ensuring all charges and recoveries are correctly reflected
- Reconcile income and expenses against budgets and highlight variances
- Reconcile creditor and debtor accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up where required
- Support audit processes and provide required documentation
- Maintain accurate records across accounting and property management systems
Requirements
- 13 years experience in a finance or accounting role
- Experience within property management, hospitality, or similar industry advantageous
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
- Experience with accounting software (Xero, Sage, or similar) and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving ability
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
