About the Role
A Game Lodge in Hoedspruit is seeking a versatile and experienced Trails Guide / Relief Head Guide & Relief Lodge Manager. This dual-role position requires a strong guiding professional who can also step into a relief management role, ensuring smooth lodge operations and exceptional guest experiences when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct guided walks and game drives to a high standard
- Act as Relief Head Guide, overseeing guiding operations when required
- Step in as Relief Lodge Manager during management absence
- Ensure guest safety and exceptional bush experiences
- Mentor and support junior guides
- Maintain guiding vehicles, firearms, and equipment
- Assist with lodge operations and inter-department coordination
- Uphold lodge standards, conservation principles, and guest satisfaction
Requirements
- RSA ID and legal residence essential
- FGASA Level 2 (or higher preferred)
- Lead Trails Guide qualification essential
- Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH) Valid
- Valid First Aid certification
- Previous experience as a Senior / Head Guide in a lodge environment
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to assist with lodge management duties when required
- Excellent guest interaction and hosting skills
