Cape Town: Mechanical Design Engineer posted by Mecad Systems

• ±10-15 years’ experience in design and manufacturing, preferably heavy manufacturing
• Good structural design knowledge
• Good knowledge of mechanisms like hydraulic actuated A-frames, etc.
• Good draughting skills – must know how to create a mechanical engineering drawing with tolerances, welding, BOM, etc.
• Very good SolidWorks experience, including Simulation
• AutoCAD experience will be a plus
• Good Microsoft skills, especially Excel

Candidate’s responsibilities will be to design and problem solve.
Must have Mechanical engineering diploma / degree,  Must be able to think on his/her feet, the ability and confidence to make quick engineering calls when in the field/offshore and have good communication skills.
