About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Business Analyst to join a high-performing analytics and delivery team supporting a leading retail organisation in Cape Town. This is a contract role requiring four days per week in-office, working in a fast-paced, data-rich environment. You will sit at the intersection of business, data, and delivery, translating retail performance questions into clear analytical requirements and actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business questions and retail performance needs into clear BI and reporting requirements.
- Work closely with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and insight frameworks aligned to commercial objectives.
- Analyse existing reports and dashboards to identify gaps, overlaps, and opportunities to improve insight quality.
- Partner with data engineers, BI developers, and analytics teams to ensure accurate and fit-for-purpose BI solutions.
- Support the end-to-end delivery of dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics tools.
- Validate data outputs to ensure accuracy, relevance, and business trust.
Requirements
- 4 years experience as a Business Intelligence Business Analyst or similar analytics-focused role.
- Proven experience working with BI platforms, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
- Strong ability to translate business needs into analytical and technical requirements.
- Experience working in data-driven environments, ideally within retail or consumer-facing industries.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business, information systems, or a related field.
