Job Description

About the Role

A well-established and reputable construction and engineering firm operating within the civil and infrastructure sector is seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing projects from a commercial perspective, running projects independently, and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities
Manage project costs, valuations, variations, and final accounts
Administer and manage contracts (FIDIC and/or NEC preferred)
Monitor project progress and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle
Liaise with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders
Prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts
Ensure compliance with contractual and statutory requirements

Requirements

BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related qualification
Minimum of 8 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor (Note: Original job description stated 58 years, which seems incorrect. Assuming it’s a typo)
Proven experience in civil engineering projects
GCC advantageous
Strong working knowledge of FIDIC and/or NEC contracts
