About the Role
A well-established and reputable construction and engineering firm operating within the civil and infrastructure sector is seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing projects from a commercial perspective, running projects independently, and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities
- Manage project costs, valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Administer and manage contracts (FIDIC and/or NEC preferred)
- Monitor project progress and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle
- Liaise with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with contractual and statutory requirements
Requirements
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related qualification
- Minimum of 8 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor (Note: Original job description stated 58 years, which seems incorrect. Assuming it’s a typo)
- Proven experience in civil engineering projects
- GCC advantageous
- Strong working knowledge of FIDIC and/or NEC contracts
