About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stores Assistant to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for receiving and processing stock orders, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and processing of stock orders for patients / staff
- Compiling and placing of stock orders with the stock controller / supplier
- Maintaining of minimum stock levels
- Maintaining the correct bin number allocations on Pastel to ensure easy access for all stores staff
- Ensuring that all stock is packed neatly on the shelves
- Assisting staff with stock queries
- Follow up on back order with suppliers and advising branches of expected delivery date
- Daily reconciliation of stock signed out of the storeroom
- Co-ordinating and actioning Stock deliveries to patients, sleep laboratories and hospital
- Quality control of all incoming stock in accordance with the Quality control documentation
- Picking, packing, and dispatching of all orders that are to be send to customers, branches or suppliers via courier or delivery
- Booking of all couriers for stock being dispatched
- Making use of the most cost-effective services
- Counting and submission of monthly stock take
- Resolving variances on stock variances
- Performs other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and collating on request from line manager
Requirements
- Grade 12 pass with exemption
- Code B Drivers licence (Manual Transmission)
- Job specific in-service training to understand customer needs, and associated products
