About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Workskills Instructor to join our team at Training Workshop Unlimited in Cape Town. As an experienced educator, you will be responsible for imparting skills and knowledge to a group of adults with intellectual disability (medium functioning) in a structured environment through practical repetition of activities and lessons. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work within a team environment, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and demonstrate patience and passion when working with individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Impart skills and knowledge to trainees in a structured environment
• Conduct regular assessments twice a year
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress of trainees
• Implement positive behavior management techniques
• Maintain quality standards and perform regular inventory stock control

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar environment
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Passion and patience in working with adults with intellectual disability
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Be very proactive with good communication skills
• Honesty & Integrity
• Accommodating and supportive
• Matric, with being fluent in English and one other SA language
• Able to use technology such as InShot to support our Hybrid training mode
