About the Role

We are seeking a Work Skills Instructor to join our team at Training Workshop Unlimited in Cape Town. As an instructor, you will be responsible for imparting skills and knowledge to a group of adults with intellectual disability in a structured environment through practical repetition of activities and lessons. You will also need to impart OLM practices and principles to enhance their skills, while working within a team environment that prioritizes customer satisfaction, quality, and schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Impart skills and knowledge to students with intellectual disability in a structured environment
• Conduct trainee assessments twice a year
• Maintain quality standards and perform regular inventory stock control
• Regular communication with parents regarding progress of trainees
• Positive behavior management

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar environment
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Passion and patience in working with adults with intellectual disability
• Ability to apply problem solving methodology
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proactive approach to communication
• Honesty & Integrity
• Accommodating and supportive

Qualifications

Matric, with being fluent in English and one other SA language.
