About the Role
Blum and Hofmeyr is seeking an experienced Foods Department Manager to join their team in Central Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring consistent customer experience across the foods department.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure delivery of consistent shopping experience
- Input all foods departmental activities against budgets and business plans
- Ensure sales are in line with the agreed budgets
- Maximise selling opportunities for foods instore via selling space
- Manage food sales plan
- Manage operational standards, shrinkage, waste and stock accuracy
- Stock replenishment
- Manage hot foods standards
- Staff management
- Staff training, development and motivation
- Drive sales and targets
Requirements
- Matric
- Previous experience within a management position within the retail/hospitality/FMCG environment
- Ability to train, motivate and manage staff
- Succession planning
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to drive profitability and targets
- Clear criminal record
- Previous experience with managing budgets
