Centurion: Junior Bureau Officer

About the Role

The Junior Bureau Officer will play a critical role in managing terminated VBS Practices, assisting with old debtors for new signups, and allocating new Academic Practices. They will be supported by active guidance and upskilling to develop their skills and integrate into our teams as they progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconciliation of receipts and payments onto the VeriClaim system within two working days from receiving documentation from all allocated Practices.
  • Obtaining funder remittances on a regular basis from scheme websites.
  • Sending monthly statements via VeriClaim system to patients, in accordance with each Practice’s requirements.
  • Regular follow-up with medical aids and patients on patient liable outstanding balances.
  • Professional & efficient handling of telephonic and e-mail account enquiries from patients, Practices and funds.
  • Effective management of each allocated Practice’s age analysis to limit bad debt to within acceptable norms.
  • Ensuring all Practice policies and procedures are maintained & adhered to.
  • Providing relevant & constant feedback (as per requirement of each Practice) to each Practice via system notes, emails & telephone calls.
  • Keeping the Bureau Team Leader, In Field and Sales Consultants informed of all sensitive Practice or procedural issues.
  • Reporting any VeriClaim technical and functional related issues to Team Leader to load tickets.
  • Maintaining a current working knowledge of all healthcare related issues and regulations and of the VeriClaim system.
  • Registering Bureau Practices on Medical Aid websites.

Requirements

  • Matric certification.
  • 2 years’ working experience, specifically working with Outlook, Word and Excel office package.
  • Effective communication skills verbal and written.

  • Customer focused & ability to build and maintain good relationships with clients.
