About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Centurion: Librarian & Digital Learning Support Officer to join our team. As a key member of our library support services, you will play a vital role in delivering training and support to postgraduate students and staff, while also managing access to e-resources and digital learning platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver training on referencing tools (EndNote, RefWorks), research methods, and academic writing
  • Support postgraduate students and staff with research consultations
  • Manage access to e-resources (databases, e-books, journals)
  • Support LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle) and embed digital learning resources
  • Assist with student administration (registration, records, class lists, results tracking)
  • Provide training on digital tools, AI literacy, and plagiarism prevention
  • Oversee circulation services and library technology
  • Analyse and report on library usage and student engagement data
  • Ensure compliance with higher education quality standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) or Diploma in Library Science, IT, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a library environment
  • Experience with LMS platforms and student administration systems
  • Strong MS Office, ILS, and CMS skills
  • Knowledge of digital learning tools and AI in education (advantageous)
