Recruitment Specialist Telecommunications
Location: Centurion, Gauteng
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time (In-house)
1. Key Responsibilities
1.1End-to-End Recruitment
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from role briefing through to offer stage.
Advertise roles, screen candidates, coordinate interviews and manage offers.
Ensure time-to-fill and quality-of-hire targets are met.
1.2 Telecommunications Talent Sourcing
Source and attract niche candidates across telecommunications technical roles including:
o Network Engineers
o RF Engineers
o Transmission Engineers
o Network Operations and NOC specialists
o Core Network
o Technical support and infrastructure roles.
1.3 Candidate Screening
Conduct initial candidate interviews and assess technical background and industry experience.
Coordinate technical interviews with hiring managers.
1.4 Talent Pipeline Development
Build and maintain candidate pipelines for telecommunications and technology roles.
Maintain a strong network of industry candidates.
1.5 Recruitment Coordination
Work closely with hiring managers to understand recruitment needs.
Track recruitment progress and ensure timely hiring processes.
Manage external recruiters.
Maintain recruiter governance.
1.6 Stakeholder Management
Partner with Hiring Executives/Managers
Ensure:
o Clean, executive-ready shortlists.
o Structured interview coordination.
o Provide weekly hiring updates.
1.7 Recruitment Governance & Reporting
Enhance and maintain a centralised recruitment tracker or dashboard (Excel / Power BI aligned)
Report on:
o Time-to-fill.
o Pipeline health.
o Recruiter performance.
Ensure compliance with:
o POPIA.
o EE targets.
o Internal approval processes.
2. Minimum Requirements2.1 Education and Experience
Degree/Diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration or related field.
510 years proven recruitment experience.
At least 35 years recruiting within telecommunications, ISP, or technology sectors.
Experience recruiting technical or engineering roles is preferred.
Experience in high growth / project environments.
Experience working with hiring managers / executives.
Exposure to recruitment analytics / dashboards.
