Pretoria: Oracle HCM Functional Specialist

About the Role

The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) is seeking an intermediate to senior Oracle HCM Functional Specialist to provide functional support and enhancements for the recently implemented Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud environment. The successful candidate will have strong payroll domain knowledge, experience in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Payroll environments, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provision of day-to-day functional support for Oracle Fusion HCM modules, including issue analysis, resolution, and user support
  • Configuration and maintenance of HCM system setups aligned to business processes and organisation policies
  • Analysis of business requirements and translation into functional specifications, process maps, and system configurations
  • Execution and coordination of system testing activities, including regression testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to support releases and enhancements
  • Support for Oracle HCM quarterly releases, including defect resolution, validation, and business readiness activities
  • Development and maintenance of functional documentation, including configuration documents, business requirements, and process flows
  • Management and resolution of functional defects and production issues to ensure system stability and continuity of HR operations

Requirements

  • B degree or equivalent (e.g., BCom Human Resources, BCom Industrial Psychology, BSc/BCom Business Information Systems, BCom Business/Organisational Management)
  • Active Oracle HCM Cloud certifications will be an added advantage
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of working experience as an Oracle HCM Cloud functional specialist in a project and/or support environment
  • Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) functional experience: advantageous
  • Regression testing experience across quarterly updates and UAT coordination with business users
  • Knowledge of the full system development lifecycle (SDLC) or equivalent
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written communication skills)
  • Stakeholder engagement with HR business owners
  • Ability to work within a CAB/ITIL-governed change management process
  • Decision-making; Time and work management; Problem-solving and analysis; and Contributing to team success
