About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Key Account Manager to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing and growing a large well-established key account base strategically within the meat processing and related food ingredient markets both locally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and growing a large well established key account base strategically within the meat processing and related food ingredient markets both locally and in internationally
- Developing long-term commercial partnerships
- Driving profitable sales growth across global food industry markets to deliver sustainable business growth
- Building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with key clients
- Developing and implementing account plans to achieve sales targets
- Identifying new opportunities
- Driving revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling
- Addressing client concerns, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Tracking account performance, preparing reports, and providing insights to internal stakeholders
- Managing contract negotiations, renewals, and pricing discussions
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in food technology or a related field (preferred)
- Previous sales experience with strategic management of major key accounts both locally and internationally within the spice, marinades, sauces and food ingredients, Brining, Meat Processing etc markets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Strategic thinking and planning abilities
- Demonstrates resilience, proactive problem-solving, and a passion for delivering customer value and sustainable packaging solutions
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Excel and Word is essential
