About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Audit Manager to join a National Firm of Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors based in Pietermaritzburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end audit lifecycle, managing client portfolios, and guiding junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end audit lifecycle
- Manage client portfolios
- Guide junior team members
- Prepare and review complex financial statements and working papers
- Monitor staff work-in-progress
- Ensure timeous fee recovery
Requirements
· A completed tertiary qualification (B.Com)
· Completed SAICA articles
· A CA (SA) qualification is highly advantageous
· A minimum of 3 years post-articles experience working within an Audit firm environment
· Proficient, hands-on CaseWare experience
· Strong technical capability in budgeting, managing work-in-progress (WIP), and handling tax-related queries
