About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Electrician to join our team in Centurion, Gauteng. As an Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicle electrical and electronic systems, ensuring all work meets safety, manufacturer, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicle electrical and electronic systems
- Fault-find wiring, circuits, sensors, control units, and CAN bus systems
- Install, repair, and test starters, alternators, batteries, and lighting systems
- Diagnose and repair engine management systems, ABS, airbags, and immobilisers
- Use diagnostic tools and scan equipment to identify electrical faults
- Repair wiring looms and replace damaged cables, connectors, and fuses
- Install accessories such as alarms, tracking systems, radios, and cameras
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- Conduct electrical inspections and preventative maintenance
- Ensure all work meets safety, manufacturer, and quality standards
- Complete job cards and technical reports accurately
Requirements
Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician (Red Seal / Trade Test preferred)
Matric – preferred
35+ years experience as an Auto Electrician (light, heavy, or both)
Experience with trucks, buses, or plant equipment (advantage)
Valid drivers licence
Ability to work independently and diagnose complex faults
OEM experience an advantage
Willingness to work overtime or on standby (where required)
