Job Description
Hire Resolve is currently seeking a highly skilled Assistant Resident Engineer specializing in Roads for a contract role at an engineering consulting firm.
As an Assistant Resident Engineer (Roads), you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing road construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with engineering standards and specifications, monitoring project progress, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee road construction projects and ensure compliance with engineering standards and specifications
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Resident Engineer
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
- Review and approve construction plans and documents
- Perform regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained
- Resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in road construction projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of road construction techniques, materials, and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
