Assistant Management Couple Luxury Hotel & Spa Port St. Johns, Eastern Cape Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a strong Assistant Management Couple to join a well-established, family-focused coastal property on the Wild Coast on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This hands-on, service-driven couple will support the General Managers in the day-to-day running of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and smooth operational management throughout the contract period. Salary: Negotiable DOE Live-in position Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences Support and inspire department teams to maintain high service standards Assist in implementing and maintaining efficient operational procedures Champion a guest-centric culture across all areas of the property Manage guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally Ensure compliance with financial protocols, labour legislation, and administrative requirements Work closely with the General Managers to ensure smooth seasonal operations Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment Build strong relationships with local suppliers, fishermen, and artisans Requirements: Proven stable work history within the hospitality industry A complementary couple with strong experience across F&B management, Front Office/Reservations, and Housekeeping Minimum 5 years senior hotel or resort management experience Strong operational and guest-focused mindset Excellent team leadership and communication skills Solid financial and labour legislation knowledge Strong administrative and organisational ability Hotel school qualification advantageous South African citizenship or valid work permits Contactable references from previous employers Comfortable living and working in a remote coastal location Availability to commit to a 12-month contract period Flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays Hands-on involvement in the day-to-day running of a busy resort environment Ability to engage respectfully with a close-knit rural community and participate in relevant community initiatives Professional, adaptable, and positive ambassadors for the property both on and off-site
