Location: Durbanville, South Africa

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health & Safety Officer to join our client’s team in Durbanville. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations in the construction industry and a commitment to ensuring the safety of all employees on site.

Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local laws and regulations
– Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
– Investigate accidents and incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence
– Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety best practices
– Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities and incidents
– Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to address health and safety concerns on construction sites

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
– At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry
– Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred
