About the Role
The High Street Accommodation in Aurora, Durbanville is seeking a reliable Housekeeper to join our team. As a key member of our housekeeping staff, you will be responsible for maintaining high cleanliness standards and working independently as well as within a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning guest rooms, common areas, and office spaces
- Dusting, polishing, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Changing linen and replenishing amenities
- Emptying bins
- Assisting with guest laundry
- Washing and ironing linen
- Ensuring all areas are neat and welcoming
- Conducting quality checks
- Reporting maintenance issues
- Cleaning windows, mirrors, and surfaces
- Restocking supplies
- Assisting guests professionally
- Supporting with ad hoc duties
Requirements
- Grade 10 (or equivalent)
- 13 years housekeeping/cleaning experience
- Ability to read and write in English
- Good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Physically fit
- Basic Health & Safety knowledge
- Honest and reliable
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays
- Valid SA ID or work permit
