About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in Woodstock. As a key member of our financial operations, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate records and ensuring the smooth running of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of income and expenses using cash books, general and subsidiary ledgers
- Manage subsidiary journals including purchase and monthly journals
- Perform monthly reconciliations and balancing of financial records
- Handle petty cash and maintain the petty cash book
- Record all monies received and maintain daily balances
- Reconcile bank statements with ledger accounts on a monthly basis
- Prepare and extract trial balances
- Compile financial statements including income statements and balance sheets
Requirements
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
Understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
Familiarity with financial data management and analysis
Working knowledge of relevant computer applications
Qualifications
Qualification in accounting, finance, or business (advantageous)
