About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Fitter to join our team in East London, Zwelitsha. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pumps, rotating equipment, gearboxes, hydraulics & pneumatics
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure seamless workflow
  • Produce high-quality work that meets our standards
  • Work effectively in a pressurised environment and independently

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years working experience as a Fitter on mechanical installations and maintenance
  • N3 Technical Qualification and passed a recognised Trade Test
  • Preferably served a Fitter apprenticeship
  • Arc, Mig and Tig welding skills advantageous
  • Ability to work shifts
  • Experience in the textile industry an advantage
  • Pressure vessel experience an advantage

Qualifications

  • Formal education/certifications: N3 Technical Qualification, Trade Test certification
