About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Travel Desk Agent to join our vibrant hotel environment, where you will play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend tailored experiences
  • Book and coordinate tours, excursions, restaurants, and activities
  • Arrange airport transfers, shuttle services and private transport
  • Ensure all guest experiences are seamless, well-communicated and professionally executed
  • Handle travel-related enquiries, bookings and confirmations efficiently
  • Build and maintain relationships with trusted suppliers and service providers
  • Ensure all bookings are accurately recorded and communicated
  • Provide guests with clear itineraries, vouchers and relevant travel information
  • Maintain accurate records of all bookings and transactions
  • Ensure timely follow-ups on guest requests and supplier confirmations
  • Coordinate closely with Front Office, Concierge and other departments
  • Stay up to date with local events, experiences and new offerings

Requirements

  • Matric or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in a Travel Desk, Concierge or similar role within a hotel environment
  • Willingness to work hotel shifts
  • Strong knowledge of Cape Town, surrounding areas and tourist attractions
  • Experience coordinating transfers, tours, excursions and guest logistics
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and hotel systems (OPERA experience advantageous)
  • Well-presented with a professional and polished approach
  • Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages advantageous)
