About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Travel Desk Agent to join our vibrant hotel environment, where you will play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend tailored experiences
- Book and coordinate tours, excursions, restaurants, and activities
- Arrange airport transfers, shuttle services and private transport
- Ensure all guest experiences are seamless, well-communicated and professionally executed
- Handle travel-related enquiries, bookings and confirmations efficiently
- Build and maintain relationships with trusted suppliers and service providers
- Ensure all bookings are accurately recorded and communicated
- Provide guests with clear itineraries, vouchers and relevant travel information
- Maintain accurate records of all bookings and transactions
- Ensure timely follow-ups on guest requests and supplier confirmations
- Coordinate closely with Front Office, Concierge and other departments
- Stay up to date with local events, experiences and new offerings
Requirements
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in a Travel Desk, Concierge or similar role within a hotel environment
- Willingness to work hotel shifts
- Strong knowledge of Cape Town, surrounding areas and tourist attractions
- Experience coordinating transfers, tours, excursions and guest logistics
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and hotel systems (OPERA experience advantageous)
- Well-presented with a professional and polished approach
- Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages advantageous)
