About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a dedicated SAICA Clerk to join our client’s team in the finance sector. This role provides a unique opportunity for aspiring accountants to gain hands-on experience and work towards their SAICA qualification in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and compilation of financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and compliance.
- Support the tax compliance process, including the preparation and submission of tax returns.
- Participate in audit procedures and review client financials.
- Conduct research on accounting standards and stay updated with legislative changes.
- Work closely with senior team members to gain exposure to various accounting functions.
- Prepare and maintain working papers, schedules, and reports for review.
Requirements
- Completed or in the process of completing a relevant degree in Accounting.
- Registration with SAICA as a trainee accountant is preferred.
- CTA (Certified Tax Practitioner) a must.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (Afrikaans & English)
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
