About the Role
The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department with various tasks, ensuring effective maintenance of our fixed assets and depreciation schedules. You will be responsible for assisting with monthly close, billing, bank reconciliation, and performing other functions that contribute to the organization’s financial health.
Key Responsibilities
- Record cost of newly added fixed assets and disposals
- Create journal entries
- Process vendor payments
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Analyze general ledger accounts and variances
- Maintain Business Asset Module (creating new assets, performing disposals/transfer of existing assets)
- Record month-end closing journal entries (including Accruals and Prepayments)
Requirements
- Strong knowledge and experience of fixed assets and General Ledger
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting
- Prior experience as a Staff Accountant, or equivalent duties
- GL, Bank, AP, and AR experience
- International accounting experience is a plus
