About the Role
The Eastern Cape Steel Fixing Foreman role is a key position in our construction team, responsible for overseeing steel fixing crews and ensuring the successful completion of reinforced concrete projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate steel fixing crews
- Read and interpret structural drawings
- Ensure correct rebar placement and installation
- Conduct quality checks before concrete pours
- Enforce site safety and conduct toolbox talks
- Manage materials and reduce wastage
- Coordinate with engineers, site managers, and other trades
- Monitor progress and ensure deadlines are met
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years steel fixing experience
- Proven experience as a Steel Fixing Foreman
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete construction
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Strong understanding of site safety standards
