About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s mining team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing commercial expertise on various projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Control & Estimation: Prepare project estimates, budgets, and cost reports.
- Contract Administration: Manage contracts, variations, claims, and payment certificates.
- Procurement & Commercial Support: Assist with tender evaluations and procurement processes.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with mining, safety, and contractual standards.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the mining, EPCM, construction, or heavy industrial environment.
- Experience working on mining infrastructure, plant, underground, or construction projects.
- Strong understanding of contracts, cost control, procurement processes, and project commercial management.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CCS Candy, BuildSmart, or similar quantity surveying software.
- Knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, GCC, or JBCC contract forms.
