Field Technician: ICT s Managed Services Location: GP
Remuneration: Market Related + Company Vehicle + Work Cellphone
The Role
This is a highly active role requiring a versatile technician who can move seamlessly between high-level networking, server maintenance, and end-user desktop support.
Beyond the technical, we are looking for a professional who understands that clear communication and accurate administration are as important as the repair itself.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Technical Support: Provide hands-on hardware and software support for Desktops, Laptops, and Servers.
- Network Infrastructure: Configure and maintain Ubiquiti and Sophos environments (knowledge of Reyee is a plus).
- Advanced Networking: Implement and troubleshoot VLANs, routing protocols, and connectivity
- Software s Cloud: Resolve issues within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and various server
- Administrative Diligence: Maintain strict timekeeping and ensure all job cards and tracking systems are updated accurately and in real-time.
- Availability: Participate in an after-hours standby rotation and work overtime when necessary to meet client
Requirements s Skills
- Experience First: Proven field experience and a “can-do” attitude toward solving complex technical
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of network architecture, server environments, and desktop
- Language: Fully bilingual in English, Afrikaans will be beneficial.
- Certifications: While experience is our priority, CompTIA A+, N+, S+ or Microsoft Certifications will be highly
- Drivers License: Must hold a valid drivers license for a minimum of 2 years. Professional Attributes
