About the Role

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Camp Manager for a prestigious luxury safari camp based in the Sabi Sands. This role is ideal for a strong operational leader who thrives in a remote, high-end hospitality environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring seamless camp operations across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across all camp departments including guest services, housekeeping, F&B, guiding, and maintenance
  • Lead, coach, and manage staff to ensure a high-performance, service-driven culture
  • Maintain exceptional guest service standards and personalised hospitality delivery
  • Manage operational budgets, stock control, and resource allocation effectively
  • Handle guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery with professionalism
  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental procedures
  • Coordinate with guiding and operations teams to ensure high-quality safari experiences
  • Oversee bookings, occupancy, and scheduling for operational efficiency
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and staff development
  • Report on operational performance, guest satisfaction, and financial outcomes

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in luxury safari lodge or camp management
  • Strong leadership and team management experience essential
  • Proven operational, financial, and stock control capability
  • Excellent guest relations and service delivery skills
  • Strong understanding of safari lodge operations (guiding, F&B, housekeeping, maintenance)
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a remote environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Valid driver’s licence required
