Salary: USD 3,450 per month ? Live-In Position | Single Accommodation & Meals Included Kendrick Recruitment is searching for a skilled, self-sufficient, and highly capable Maintenance Manager for a world-renowned luxury bonefishing lodge and boutique hotel located on the stunning east coast of the Bahamas. This unique opportunity is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional who thrives in remote environments and enjoys a diverse role managing everything from guest accommodation and infrastructure to pools, tropical gardens, generators, and marine equipment. Set in one of the most beautiful and secluded locations in the Caribbean, this role offers both professional challenge and an incredible lifestyle experience. Requirements: Minimum 35 years’ maintenance management experience within a luxury lodge, hotel, resort, or island property Strong technical expertise in at least two of the following: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, air-conditioning, carpentry, welding, or generator systems Pool and water system maintenance experience (essential) Marine and boat maintenance experience highly advantageous Experience maintaining tropical gardens and grounds advantageous Strong understanding of occupational health, safety, and compliance standards Ability to work independently and solve problems in a remote environment Experience managing and developing a small maintenance team Computer literate with experience maintaining maintenance records and logs Valid driver’s licence Valid passport (essential) Relevant tertiary qualification required for work permit purposes Stable employment history with excellent contactable references Key Responsibilities: Oversee all maintenance operations across guest rooms, public areas, pool facilities, gardens, and marine assets Implement and manage preventative maintenance schedules across all property infrastructure Maintain and service the lodge’s fleet of fishing skiffs and marine equipment Manage pool systems, water quality, and chemical compliance Ensure all electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and generator systems remain fully operational Respond quickly and effectively to emergency maintenance situations Manage maintenance inventory, spare parts, tools, and supplies Liaise with contractors and suppliers for specialised repairs and projects Maintain accurate maintenance records, asset registers, and service logs Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire prevention standards Lead, mentor, and develop the on-site maintenance team Candidate Profile: Hands-on and technically strong with excellent problem-solving abilities Self-motivated and comfortable working independently Adaptable and resourceful in remote environments Highly organised with strong planning and maintenance management skills Calm under pressure with excellent attention to detail Passionate about maintaining world-class property standards Adventurous and excited by island living and remote hospitality operations Package Includes: USD 3,450 per month Live-in single accommodation on the property Meals included Assistance with work permit process Opportunity to live and work in one of the Caribbean’s most exclusive island destinations Please note that only suitable candidates will be contacted.
