About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Cross Border Logistics Controller to oversee complex cross-border transport operations across Southern Africa. This role requires a strong operational leader capable of managing high-volume fleets, mentoring logistics controllers, optimising fleet performance, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to key customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end cross-border transport operations.
- Lead and mentor a team of Logistics Controllers.
- Monitor fleet performance, productivity, and profitability.
- Oversee route planning and vehicle scheduling.
- Manage customer relationships and service delivery standards.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and transport legislation.
- Coordinate with clearing agents, border authorities, and service providers.
- Analyse operational data and implement process improvements.
- Investigate and resolve operational incidents and delays.
- Prepare operational reports and KPI dashboards for management.
- Manage escalated customer queries and service issues.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and SOPs.
Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric.
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management, or related field.
510 years’ experience in cross-border transport operations.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or senior logistics role.
Strong understanding of SADC cross-border transport requirements.
Proven experience managing fleets, drivers, and operational teams.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with transport management and fleet tracking systems.
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
