About the Role
The Materials Resource Planner will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility, working closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams to align material flow with production demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Coordination
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain and manage the MRP system to ensure accurate material requirements.
- Analyse production schedules and forecast material needs.
- Create, release, and monitor purchase and work orders.
- Coordinate with suppliers for delivery schedules, lead times, and order statuses.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock accuracy.
- Review and update Bills of Materials (BOM) and item master data.
- Identify material shortages, delays, or risks and escalate or resolve them promptly.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of supply chain, manufacturing, and inventory processes
- Excel knowledge
- 1-2 years experience in similar role (Sync experience advantageous)
- Matric with Maths
