About the Role
Join our dynamic team at BLACK TIE RECRUIT as a Materials Resource Planner, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our household textiles and manufacturing company. Based in Jacobs, Durban (South Durban), you will be responsible for procuring materials, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with various teams to meet production demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the MRP system to ensure accurate material requirements
- Analyse production schedules and forecast material needs
- Create, release, and monitor purchase and work orders
- Coordinate with suppliers for delivery schedules, lead times, and order statuses
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock accuracy
- Review and update Bills of Materials (BOM) and item master data
- Identify material shortages, delays, or risks and escalate or resolve them promptly
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in supply chain, manufacturing, and inventory processes
- Excel knowledge
- 1-2 years experience in a similar role
- Sync experience advantageous
Qualifications
- Matric with Maths Skills (or equivalent)
- Strong communication skills
