About the Role

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance / Handyman to join a prestigious luxury wine estate based in Franschhoek. We are looking for a hardworking and solution-driven individual with strong maintenance experience to ensure that all facilities, equipment, and general property maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and maintained to the highest standards across the estate.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of tools and equipment
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests from various departments
• Diagnosing equipment faults and carrying out necessary repairs
• Performing general handyman duties including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and building repairs
• Ensuring facilities and equipment remain in excellent working condition
• Maintaining accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities
• Managing tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials inventory
• Supporting overall operational efficiency through effective maintenance practices

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in general electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, or heat pump repairs and maintenance
• Hotel or property maintenance experience would be advantageous
• Strong understanding of safe working procedures with electrical tools and equipment
• Basic hand tools and electrical knowledge essential
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive attitude

Qualifications

• Matric Certificate required
• Technical qualification in Facilities, Maintenance, Engineering, or related field beneficial
• Valid driver’s license advantageous

Salary & Benefits

Package Salary: R8,000 – R9,000 negotiable DOE
