About the Role
Do spreadsheets make you happy and numbers tell a story to you? Are you as comfortable balancing ledgers as you are learning how the grain industry works from silo to shipment? If so, we’d love to meet you. We’re looking for an Assistant Accountant to support our finance team in a fast-moving, hands-on grain business.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with day-to-day accounting operations
- Processing grain purchase and sales transactions accurately and on time
- Reconciling bank accounts, supplier statements, and inventory records
- Supporting month-end and year-end reporting
- Helping track costs, margins, and stock movements across sites
- Preparing reports that help management make smart, data-driven decisions
- Working closely with operations to ensure numbers match what’s happening on the ground (and in the silos!)
Requirements
- Relevant BCom degree in Accountancy (or similar)
- Articles completed (SAIPA/SAICA = major bonus points!)
- Experience in a fast-moving operational or processing environment
- Excel wizardry (we’re talking pivot tables, formulas, the works)

- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
