About the Role
Imizizi is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer (Expert) to lead our platform solution and architecture, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a stable, secure, and reliable solution for our large-scale Windows environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the platform solution and architecture, acting as the SME within other initiatives and projects.
- Collaborate proactively with our offshore DevOps provider and oversee external service partners to ensure seamless delivery.
- Work closely with cross-functional infrastructure teams, including Active Directory, Multi-factor Authentication, Network, Client, Server, and Hardware, to maintain close alignment with business partners.
- Lead Architecture reviews and ensure low-level designs are created and up-to-date.
- Develop, maintain, and operate procedures for the self-developed software solutions.
- Provide advice and support to departments on complex requirements and conduct needs analysis to ensure requirements are met.
- Present to large and small audiences, including Senior Executives, IT management, and developers.
Requirements
- A university degree in a relevant field of study (e.g., computer science, engineering, sciences, etc.) or a comparable qualification with 5+ years of experience.
- Experience with programming languages C#.
- Experience with Windows desktops and server support.
- Experience with Windows Terminal Server.
- Experience with software packaging and image creation.
- Experience with hardware and software lifecycle.
- Experience with ITIL processes (Problem, Incident, Change management).
- Ability to work in teams with several nationalities and cultures.
- Interest in technology stacks.
- Analytical thinking.
- Strong Documentation skills.
- Strong ability to adapt concepts and bring them to successful implementation.
- Good communication skills.
