About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Engineering Buyer to join our client’s team in Gauteng, South Africa. As a strategic procurement professional, you will play a critical role in sourcing essential spares and services that ensure the smooth operation of their manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and vet local and international suppliers for critical engineering items
- Drive savings through smart negotiations and volume leverage
- Work closely with the maintenance team to manage stock of critical plant components
- Partner with engineers to source specialized services
Requirements
- National Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience as an Engineering Buyer, ideally within Manufacturing or FMCG
- Trade background (Fitter/Electrician) or deep knowledge of engineering spares is a plus
