About the Role
We are seeking a Reporting Accountant to join a leading South African business with a significant national footprint, where finance is evolving beyond traditional reporting into a more analytical, technology-driven function. As a key member of our Operational Finance team, you will play a crucial role in delivering management reporting, building dashboards, driving automation, and supporting the adoption of AI-enabled solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing monthly management reports and providing meaningful analysis and commentary.
- Performing variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
- Identifying trends, anomalies, and key business drivers to support decision-making.
- Supporting executive and management reporting with insightful analysis.
- Building and maintaining sophisticated Excel models and reporting frameworks.
- Developing and enhancing dashboards and visual reporting solutions using Power BI and related tools.
- Introducing automation and AI-driven solutions to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Performing ad hoc analysis, scenario modelling, and business case evaluations.
- Supporting process improvements and reporting standardisation initiatives.
- Collaborating with finance and non-finance stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights.
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- BCom, BCompt or equivalent finance degree
- Honours Degree
- CA(SA)
- Power BI certifications
