About the Role

Specter Security Solutions is seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through regular patrols, access control, and prompt response to security incidents and emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to identify and prevent security risks, unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, or other incidents.
  • Monitor premises and surrounding areas to ensure the safety and security of people and property.
  • Observe and report suspicious activities or security concerns.
  • Control and monitor access to the premises.
  • Verify the identity of employees, visitors, contractors, and suppliers entering the site.
  • Maintain visitor logs and issue access permits or passes where applicable.
  • Prevent unauthorized people from entering restricted areas.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, and security incidents.
  • Take appropriate action in accordance with established security procedures.
  • Assist with emergency evacuations and emergency response activities when required.
  • Notify supervisors, management, law enforcement, or emergency services as necessary.
  • Monitor CCTV systems, alarm systems, and other security equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and security systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities.
  • Prepare and submit incident reports and occurrence reports.
  • Provide assistance and directions to employees, visitors, and customers.
  • Always maintain a professional and courteous manner.
  • Promote a safe and secure environment for all site occupants.

Matric certificate

PSIRA certificate

Proven experience as a security guard

Qualifications

No formal education or certifications are required for this role. However, a Matric certificate and PSIRA certificate are mandatory prerequisites.
