About the Role
The Health & Safety Practitioner will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment within our organisation by implementing and maintaining effective health, safety, and environmental management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments on the managed portfolio to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide insurance surveys and support OHS governance, administration, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans and ensure head office compliance with health and safety standards.
- Design and deliver OHS awareness training programs and campaigns to promote a culture of safety within the organisation.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health, or a related field
- SAMTRAC certificate is an advantage
