Procuro Grain currently has the following career opportunity at their Grain department in Aureus, Randfontein. For this position, we are looking for a person with at least 5 years of proven management experience as a Silo Manager or Assistant Silo Manager in a Grain Storage environment and with a fast inventory turnover rate. Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will already be trained and have proven experience in the following aspects: Winter grain crops Summer grain crops Oilseeds Grain fumigation with preferably a valid P Registration Grain receiving and shipping procedures Grain storage practices, including aeration, grain cleaning, and grain drying, as well as occupational health and safety procedures. Requirements: In addition to a Matric (Grade 12 Certificate) and relevant post-school qualification/ experience, the following are required for the position: Computer skills (MS Office) Good language and numerical skills Mechanical and/or technical aptitude Good interpersonal skills, including communication skills Negotiation skills Valid Code B (Minimum Code 08) driver’s license Willingness to work long hours where necessary Ability to manage and motivate staff Physical ability to function in a silo environment (which often involves heights and/or dust) Please consider your application unsuccessful if you have not received feedback within one month of the closing date.
