About the Role

The Talent Room is seeking a highly motivated and sales-driven Senior Sales Consultant to join our team in George. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, maintaining operational compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will work closely with customers to promote and sell luxury homeware products, while also supporting the external sales consultants and managing the day-to-day operations of the showroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive a motivated and energised store team
  • Ensure operational compliance and risk mitigation
  • Promote and sell retail products to customers, providing excellent customer service
  • Reach and exceed sales budgets through effective stock management and merchandising standards
  • Maintain retail showroom standards and operations
  • Build long standing and productive relationships with customers
  • Manage orders of retail products for the showroom
  • Conduct regular stock takes
  • Support the external sales consultants
  • Support the payment process

Requirements

  • National senior certificate
  • At least 3 years sales experience in a similar role, within a retail environment (preferably for a luxury brand) with experience working on point of sale
  • Previous experience in a senior role, coordinating a team
  • Knowledge of homeware advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Customer service focused and orientated
  • Highly sales driven and focused on achieving the end result
  • Must be professional and well presented
  • Self-motivated
  • General business acumen
