About the Role
An established safari lodge located within the Kruger National Park is seeking an experienced HR Learning & Development Manager to lead and enhance its people, skills, and training initiatives. This live-in role is ideal for a strategic HR professional with a passion for workforce development, staff engagement, and hospitality excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the HR and Learning & Development function across the lodge
- Design; implement, and manage annual training and development programmes
- Conduct skills gap analyses and develop long-term workforce development plans
- Coordinate internal, external, in-person, and online training initiatives
- Manage training budgets and ensure delivery within agreed parameters
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, induction, performance management, and exits
- Provide professional HR guidance to staff and management teams
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation and HR best practices
- Support managers in applying HR policies and performance processes
- Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture focused on wellbeing
- Maintain accurate employee records and update HR documentation
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in HR or Learning & Development
- Minimum of 5 years experience at management level
- Strong knowledge of HR legislation and training frameworks
- Excellent communication, planning, and leadership skills
