About the Role
Hire Resolve is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our client’s team in the mining industry. As an Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the financial operations of our mining clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements
- Manage general ledger and perform monthly reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts
- Prepare and submit tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to management
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and industry regulations
- Support audit and financial review processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and procurement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in the mining industry
- Strong knowledge of mining-specific accounting principles and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Solid understanding of financial statements, general ledger, and financial reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- SAIPA or relevant professional certification is a plus
- Skilled with Pastel, Sage and Excel
