Hermanus: Apprentice Joiner (Solid Wood Joinery Workshop)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Apprentice Joiner to join our Solid Wood Joinery Workshop in Hermanus. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship while working independently on assigned projects and collaborating with colleagues as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Work independently on assigned projects from start to finish
• Collaborate effectively within a workshop team when required
• Deliver accurate, high-quality workmanship with attention to detail
• Ensure safe use of machinery and adherence to workshop standards

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience in a wood joinery or woodworking workshop
• Experience working with solid wood and general joinery processes
• Competent in the use of all standard joinery machinery (cutting, shaping, finishing equipment)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Qualifications

Formal qualification in woodwork/joinery will be beneficial but not essential.
