About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lodge Manager to run a private, non-commercial lodge in a remote bush setting. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, with strong leadership and guest relations skills, to oversee full lodge operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day lodge operations and team
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences, including check-in/out, activities, and excursions
- Plan, cook, and present meals while managing kitchen hygiene and stock
- Oversee housekeeping, reception, dining, and bar services
- Conduct inventory, stock control, and procurement
- Manage maintenance, safety, and security protocols
- Lead by example in a hands-on, physically active role
Requirements
- 4–5 years’ management experience in a 4–5 star lodge environment
- Functional experience across all lodge departments
- Hospitality Degree/Diploma (preferred)
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Computer literate
- Valid Driver’s License with PDP
- Strong references and stable work history
Qualifications
- Qualified chef or strong cooking ability (essential)
