About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Wild Dreams Hospitality in Hout Bay. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day maintenance operations across the lodge and ensuring exceptional standards are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day maintenance operations across the lodge
- Conduct routine inspections of rooms, villas, and public areas to ensure exceptional standards are upheld
- Perform and manage repairs across plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance systems
- Supervise and coordinate external contractors when required
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards at all times
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, stock control, and inventory of tools and supplies
- Respond quickly and efficiently to maintenance issues, ensuring minimal disruption to guests
- Assist with ongoing improvement projects and upgrades across the property
Requirements
- Proven experience in a maintenance supervisory or senior maintenance role
- Strong background in construction
- Hands-on experience in both plumbing and electrical work
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently and efficiently
- Previous experience in hospitality or luxury property environments is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Reliable, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach
- Valid driver’s licence
Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required for this role. However, a relevant trade qualification (e.g., electrical or plumbing) and relevant experience in maintenance supervision would be advantageous.
